So much rose for so small a price A pound of rose petals/buds is a whole heck of a lot of plant matter! I was very excited to receive so much. I put roses in my masala chai every morning, so I thought I’d try this out instead of the more expensive commercial selection I started with. The two bags were shipped with little protection in a plastic Post Office bag which smelled strongly rosy, so I am sure the Post Office had no suspicion as to what this was. I kind of wish it were in some padding though, as dried substances tend to crumble and create dust which this is doing.I don’t know if the seller grows and dries these roses herself. There are a lot of empty buds and stalks which I pick out every day in favor of the petals which have fallen off….and something like spider webs holding a few of them together.Nevertheless, as I said, the essence of rose is strong, I use boiling water, and nothing unpleasant has surfaced yet. The quality of the material is certainly reflected in the price. Unfortunately, in future I’d prefer to pay a little more for greater quality and will begin trying out higher end rose bud/petal selections for the sake of time and convenience, and because this is something that I ingest daily.

Rose tea I am an avid tea drinker and have recently gotten into drinking rose tea. This particular bunch of roses is not too bad. I am a little disappointed in how many greens there are in the bag. They do tell the truth, there are no stems or leaves, but the bottoms of the buds are in the bag. This isn’t a problem if you are using the roses for crafts, but is very pesky when trying to make tea. The rose smell is there, but not as strong as I had hoped it would be. The flavor, on the other hand, is right up there with rose tea that I have bought from high grade organic tea stores.Overall, I give it a 4 star review. It does well, color is nice, flavor is good, but it lacks the pizazz that would make it a 5 star.
